Programs
Help aimed at a real barrier.
Four kinds of support for individuals and families in the Denver metro. A request is not an approval. If we can help, we will say so by email. If we cannot, we will say that too.
First Month Housing Scholarship Fund
This fund helps with first-month housing costs and program fees. That first month, or a fee tied to a housing program, is sometimes what stands between a person and a stable place to stay.
Tell us the city, what the cost is for, and when you need an answer. Please do not sign a lease or a program agreement because you expect this fund to pay it. Wait for a written reply before you count on help.
We do not publish award amounts. Help depends on what the foundation can offer at the time.
Basic needs
Basic-needs support covers food, clothing, hygiene items, and transportation. These are everyday things that, when they are missing, make the next step harder.
Say what you need and where you are. Examples are groceries, season-ready clothing, soap and toothpaste, or help getting to an appointment or a shift. There is no public pantry address. If we can help, the reply will explain how.
Reentry and recovery support
People returning to the community, and people in recovery, can ask for the same practical help as anyone else: housing support, food, clothing, hygiene, transportation, and steps toward work.
This is not a treatment program. Vitalis does not provide medical care, counseling, or clinical services. Write what practical barrier is in the way. Leave out diagnoses and treatment details. If we need a clearer picture, we will ask by email, and we still will not ask for medical records through this website.
Life skills and employment support
This support is for everyday skills and the next step toward work. That can include thinking through a plan, building a routine, or preparing for a job search.
The foundation does not place people into jobs and does not promise employment. Tell us what you are trying to do next, and what is making that step hard.
After you ask
Requests go to ashley@vitalisfoundation.org. We do not publish a response-time promise. Help, when it is available, is for people in the Denver metro service area.
